PatraProud

PatraProud is a nonprofit organization based in El Dorado Hills. For a nonprofit, a site that loads fast and works cleanly on mobile directly affects how many visitors actually complete a donation or sign-up rather than bouncing on a slow page — which shaped every technical decision in this build.

What we built:

• Mobile-responsive site built from scratch — no pre-built theme, giving full control over layout and performance
• Bootstrap + WordPress — a hybrid build combining Bootstrap’s layout framework with WordPress’s content management

Building on a pre-built theme means working around whatever layout and performance constraints that theme ships with — for a nonprofit whose conversion goal (donations, sign-ups) depends directly on page speed and a clean mobile experience, we built the site from scratch using Bootstrap alongside WordPress instead, trading a faster initial setup for real control over how the site actually loads and performs.
