IMVU NFTs is a digital marketplace built inside the IMVU metaverse ecosystem, where users discover, buy, and trade NFT collectibles representing virtual fashion and accessories for their avatars. At launch the collection spanned 11,024 released NFTs across themed categories like fantasy, streetwear, anime, Y2K, and cottagecore — a scale that needed real visual discovery tools, not just a static product list.
What we built:
- Custom WordPress site — built from client-supplied mockups for IMVU’s NFT marketplace
- Master and detail pages — a grid-based master listing for fast browsing, with dedicated detail pages for each themed NFT drop
- Education section — content covering getting started, buying, reselling, and creating NFTs, for visitors new to the category
- Collection statistics — transparent numbers surfaced to build buyer confidence
The custom WordPress build centers on grid-based product cards for fast browsing across that many themed collections — necessary for an audience ranging from casual IMVU players customizing an avatar to active collectors working the secondary market.
Because NFTs were still a new, often confusing category for a lot of visitors, the education section and transparent collection statistics were deliberate additions, not an afterthought — the site’s job was to build confidence in the product category itself before ever asking a visitor to buy.
