Felicia Matto-Shepard has practiced as a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Jungian analyst in Petaluma since 1993, combining traditional psychotherapy with less conventional offerings like psychedelic therapy and Alchemical Art — a creative process drawing on alchemical principles, taught through both private sessions and group workshops.
What we built:
- Custom color palette and logo design — drawn directly from Matto-Shepard’s own paintings, so the brand feels like a genuine extension of her creative practice
- Full WordPress CMS build — design concepts developed from that palette, then converted into a manageable content management system
- Class registration & shopping cart — workshop and class sign-ups handled directly on the site
- Workshops custom post type — a dedicated content type for managing classes, editable without touching code
- FAQ accordion — show/hide answers to common questions without a long scroll
The starting point wasn’t a typical brand brief — it was Matto-Shepard’s own artwork. We pulled a color palette directly from her paintings, then built the logo and full website design around those colors, so the visual identity reads as a genuine extension of her creative practice rather than a generic therapy-site template layered on top of it.
On the functional side, workshops and classes needed to be genuinely manageable, not one-off landing pages: a dedicated custom post type lets new classes get added directly from WordPress admin, paired with a shopping cart for registration and payment, so a visitor can register for a workshop in the same session they discover it.
