Lysa Castro has offered Authentic Movement and Body Tales®, two integrated somatic practices, for over 25 years — trauma-informed work she positions as an antidote to shame, trauma, and isolation through embodied awareness and guided movement paired with personal storytelling. Sessions run in both Berkeley and Sebastopol, alongside weekly groups, workshops, multi-day retreats, and performance events.
What we built:
- Complete branding and logo design — a visual identity built from scratch to match the tone of trauma-informed, embodied work
- WordPress e-commerce build — session and event registration handled directly on the site
- Geographic segmentation — separate paths for Berkeley and Sebastopol offerings, since the two regions serve different visitor needs
- Transparent, sliding-scale pricing — pricing surfaced up front rather than requiring a phone call, matching the practice’s own equity-first framing
Offering that many formats across two regions meant the branding and web design needed clear geographic segmentation from the start — someone in the East Bay looking for a weekly group has a different path through the site than someone in Sonoma County researching an individual session.
The e-commerce build keeps that same accessibility-first approach: sliding-scale pricing is front and center rather than buried, since equity is central to how Castro frames this work, not an afterthought — and clear event listings with geographic paths let a visitor self-select into the right offering without a phone call first.
