Bill’s Ski Rentals has operated in Leadville, Colorado for more than 75 years, as one of the state’s original three ski shops — a family-owned business renting skis, snowboards, snowshoes, and snow tubes, with full equipment fitting from staff who size gear for everyone from first-time kids to experienced skiers.
What we built:
- WordPress rental request form — letting visitors reserve equipment online before ever arriving in Leadville
- Shopping cart — paired with the rental form so families can have gear ready and sized before they hit the mountain
- Heritage-forward brand presence — 75 years of local history carried through the site rather than reading like a generic rental storefront
That kind of heritage is a real asset for a ski shop competing against big-box rental chains, so the site needed to carry it forward rather than read like a generic rental storefront. The functional core of the build is a WordPress-based rental request form paired with a shopping cart, letting visitors reserve equipment online before ever arriving in Leadville — useful for families planning a trip who want gear ready and sized before they hit the mountain, rather than waiting in a fitting line on vacation.
Flexible return policies and extended daily hours round out the shop’s family-first positioning, and the site’s design job was simply to get that same feeling — a real local shop that treats customers like family — across before a visitor ever walks in the door.
